What is CASA?

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are local volunteers that serve as a voice for children that have experienced abuse or neglect. We are looking for passionate and caring members of the Napoleon, Defiance, Bryan and Paulding communities to become a trained advocates for local children.

About NORTHWEST OHIO CASA

Northwest Ohio CASA is a non-profit organization that utilizes trained community volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Our mission is that every child victimized by abuse and neglect can have a volunteer advocate. We have 5 staff members and over 50 volunteers serving Northwest Ohio. Our main office in Napoleon and we have satellite offices in Bryan, Defiance, and Paulding.

We began in 1991 as a court-based program known as Henry County CASA and transitioned to an independent non-profit in 1996. In 2017, we expanded to Defiance and Williams Counties. In 2020, we expanded to Paulding County.
